Endodontic retreatment must be carried out by such teeth which had been unsuccessfully treated before and which are full of bacteria again. The tooth has to be retreated if an inflammation reoccurs or if the root filling is too weak and that could lead to an inflammation.

It is also possible that during the first treatment the dentist had not found all the canals or a tool had got broken inside the tooth.

Endodontic retreatment in our practice is carried out under multiple enlargement of the operational microscope. The success rate of endodontic retreatment with the use of operational microscope is approximately 90%.
